For Calendar, BWF is trying to block May to July for exhibition/League, etc but at the same time they schedule Japan and Korea in June.Also it seems certain country wanted that time for their own league which we found it was not fair enough..BWF said that players complained the schedule is pact but we all know that players do not have to play ALL, only 10 tournaments, look at Moe/Boe for example.
Badminton tournament is still nothing comparing to Tennis.
Once country suggests to offer HIGHER PRIZE Money but so far that country offered lower than INA/AUS plus in the past, they had 2 SS but their prize money is just about minimum.
INA camp protested as BWF scheduled INA Premier after SIN Open and before INDIA Open..January is jot good month and India found that connection flights from INA to India was not that good.

INA insisted in nJune and Australia backed it up as AUS wanted in June as well.AUS does not to be alone as it may take over 24 hours from Europe to AUS and they ahve NZ GP which had been cancelled all the time.So it makes sense for players especially from Europe to play INA Open then continue to AUS. AUS wanted TOP 10 players to be there especailly after pairing with INA PREMIER

PRIZE MONEY of PREMIER:

MAS : US$ 500 K (2014) and US$ 600 K ( 2017)
CHINA: US$ 700 K ( 2014-2017)
INDONESIA: US$ 750 K (2014) and US$ 1 million (2017)
DENMARK: US$ 600 K (2014) and US$ 700 K ( 2017)
ALL ENGLAND: US$ 500 K (2014) and US$ 600 K (2017)

SUPER SERIES FINAL : US$ 1 Million

For SS prize money, so far BWF just announced Korea SS offers US$ 600 K from 2014 to 2017 and Australia offers US$ 750 K to start

Why Malaysia was promoted to premier ? Any reason given ? I thought there was rumour of Malaysia Open US$1 million ?

I agree that January is not a good month for INA to hold tournament. Rainy season, flooding

June is holiday but in 2017, it might be fasting month too.

well,ina should have a bigger stadium now because the crowd is larger now.
but that is only a suggestion.

nope.
the do not have a China Master SS anymore, starting from 2014.

They do not have China Masters SS.. but they still have their regular china open super series...

Wow, June is really a busy month for the top players.
i think most players will play back to back SS events, but not 3 events in a row. Looking at the proximity of these events, I think Australia may lose out.

I will get to watch the Singapore SS and hopefully (for the first time) Indonesia SSP in April & June 2014

Could also make the short hop to KL to watch Malaysia SS in Jan 2014.

But I have to say goodbye to HKG SS (which I have regularly watched since 2005 onwards)
