yes, this is a true news... i confirm this with my thai friend....

    this is the news :

Rising star Bodin will quit sport

Rising star Bodin Issara is quitting badminton due to injury and personal reasons, officials confirmed yesterday.

Ranked eighth in the world, along with his partner Maneepong Jongjit, in the men's doubles, Bodin has told the Badminton Association of Thailand that he wants to quit playing, according to BAT secretary-general Surasak Songworakulpan.
"He has informed me that he will retire," Surasak said.
The 22-year-old has been nursing a knee injury since December, which forced him to withdraw from this year's Korean Open and Malaysian Open.
The player also wants to look after his mother in Uttaradit, he said.
Maneepong will now play with Nipitphon Puangpuapech in Indonesia next week.
Last year, Bodin and Maneepong won the men's doubles title at the Indian Open by upsetting second seeds Sung Hyun Ko and Yeon Seong Yoo of South Korea in the final.
The win sent them to the 2012 Olympics, where they reached the quarter-finals.

    Bodin Retires?

It seems true as seen on Thailand papers. :crying::crying::crying:
He probably needs a long pause from any knee hurting activities.

He loves badminton for sure, and want more of it.

I wonder if there is a much better way for his knee treatment.

You're right. I'm Thai. Bodin has problem with BAT and decide to leave from the athlete of BAT like Boonsak Ponsana. I guess that Maneepong might leave from BAT following Bodin

Such a pity, Bodin still young and talented. Hope BAT take this as a wake-up call and do something effective and concrete to address the root of the problem if it is true that a number of Thai players are unhappy with the association.

Thailand is such a promising and rising badminton powerhouse-to-be. Keep it up.Way to go!

He is going independent athlete from now on. Also, finding and practicing with his new partner. Now, He traines at a same place as Boonsak Ponsana as my friends saw them at the court. They told me that his smashes' sound are very loud.

Wait, so which news is true? He quit badminton for good? Or just going independent?

And what is the true reason? Injury? Personal life? Or conflict with BAT?

So for clarity then he has quit BAT not the sport.
whats the status of his injury?
Is it a ligament injury to the knee?
Issara and Jongjit really are a classy pair brought a lot of colour to the mens doubles at the OG. I see them as future KKK, TBH style partnership, but hopefully with more success.

According to the news, Bodin didn't retire but quit training at National Team Camp. He together with Pakkawat Vilailak, his new teammate got a new sponsor and will start from zero playing in Austria mid Feb.

The cause of leaving was from being mishandled by BAT. According to Bodin, he has been treated with harsh and improper words all along but that he said he can bear. Cutting him out from the team (that will start playing in Indonesia, 2-9 Feb) saying his injury would recur, he cannot. He said has already fully recovered and been back to normal training. In all, he is very unhappy with BAT and decided to leave, ignoring quite a good salary, even though he got a family with a small kid to feed.

His new teammate empathizes Bodin said he used to be in the same shoes. So he quit playing singles and will try his best to adapt himself to play with Bodin using shortest time.

The news ended that 3 years ago a number of NT players leading by Boonsak Ponsana also had problems with BAT and walked out from the camp.

no big deal folks....good player tends to come after him, thailand have many talented player and just look at the ladies player lately...discipline and attitude towards the national team as a team member is important if it not the real reason of injury and personal problem as cited....;)
