Leaving one cross out near the bottom is one of the styles of some experienced stringers. They say it gives better power or control or something. That is matter of opinion. I've tried that type of pattern and found no difference in playability. If you don't like it, just ask the stringer to not to skip it next time.
ic....thanks for the info.... i totally dono about it and was so curious why there is a gap there.... so the uncle is really a pro well, actually i also feel no diff IMO....
Is the number of string lines correct on this racquet? 23 H and 22 V ? It's 23 H despite missing one H line ?
this string pattern produces more crispy and louder "peng" sounds. this pattern applied well in those normal 72-76 holes racket but NOT in a 80 holes racket. find of my threads,i had the same problem like urs and the only different is...THE UNCLE STILL CAN LEAVE A BIG GAP AT THE BTM WITHOUT NOT USING ONE OF THE HORI. GROMMETS WHERE IT IS NOT POSSIBLE FOR AN 80 HOLES RACKET.... the rest of my rackets are strung this way, leaving a gap at the bottom and i prefered this way of stringing ONLY for my normal 72-76 rackets compared to the full grommets used pattern. This actually made a difference in the hitting sound and it helps diffuses out the tight tension on every grommets. i lazy to type it all out but i have make research and tested it myself.... stringer in malaysia tend to string this way... -it doesnt drop fastly on the tension of the racket -clearer hitting sound -take care of the racket at high tension *purely my opinions*
i see....ya read of ur thread ad... @@...hw can he skipped 1 hole without stringing it..... mine one is 72 holes so i guess it should be fine...
I guess pro-level players don't bother to ask for this line skip because they don't care about sound or reduced tension on grommets? If there was a significant advantage I'm sure a pro would be willing to adopt this pattern... If I saw that regardless of what the stringer says I wouldn't want it on my rackets, because if a mishit occured at that spot you never know if that'll break the string.
