Shuttlecocked and Loaded: Badminton Makes SEA Games
Ami Afriatni | January 30, 2013
Score one for Indonesia: After some uncertainty, it turns out that badminton, the country’s best sport, will be a major part of the 2013 Southeast Asian Games.
The sport had been dropped from the Games because host Myanmar said it lacked the proper facilities.
But at a meeting of the SEA Games Council in Naypyidaw, Myanmar, earlier this week, the Indonesian contingent pushed for the inclusion of badminton, Indonesia Olympic Committee official Ade Lukman told the Jakarta Globe on Wednesday.

Sony, if you are still in love with Yonex, why change ? oh maybe Simon received the presents sooner than you, or maybe ....

Victor & Li Ning came in, and gave literally tore apart what Yonex had here. Another crunching blow for them and with the imminent arrival of Adidas, it's not looking great for them at the moment. They're left with just Japan (loyalty) and Malaysia now. If BAM did the same thing as PBSI, then how many BAM players would still be with Yonex?
Anyway, this is a good decision. Great for the players.

It is very true. New Scheme that PBSI applied to the players are really beneficial to other brand than Yonex and to the players as well as INA badminton in general. However, if Yonex still want to secure the sponsorship, they can do it, since it is open bidding. However, for me it seems that Yonex do not want to strive for it, hence the opportunities are gone. Victor enjoys the most, followed by Lining, Astec & Flypower. It is a miss opportunity by Adidas though, IMHO.
