So you're saying you didn't like to test 20 different rackets, even at the price they cost ?

I think this forum feeds equipment obsession, but ...testing different rackets/strings is superb.

You're completely right on this service you mentioned but shops this specialized are unseen in my region.
Plus, I think the range of rackets you can adapt to is quite big, it just takes time (and a blindfold to stop drooling over new "and potential better" ones)

customworqs.com lets you customize your own racket but unless you absolutely know what you want, it's an expensive experiment.

Lol... I had fun I guess, but it was affecting my game having to adapt to a new different racket every 2 months or so. And now that I know my preffered specs, I don't even get swayed by any new rackets from Yonex, Victor etc if the specs don't seem to match me. Not even if it has catapult technology or hyper nanopreme technetium fibres.

Don't be dissing on my Catapult rackets homie
I too seem to have settled on on a preffered spec.
    Mid-stiff and BP from 300-305mm.

Some of you may know Im sponsored by Eric, but it wont affect anything I say about the rackets.
So I had my first real session with my three new XP70 87 300. With ZM65 29lbs ECP, I had a really good time, exept breaking two strings... It feels really solid, for a racket being so fast, the power and speed was supreme never tried anything like it. Will report back soon, if I dont break the last XP70s strings

Im actully gonna buy two more, when I get my Forzas sold, so you gotta be quick This thing is solid like I have never tried anything like it! There is so much more feel than in any Yonex racket, I dont understand people still using that. Here you get something quicker, more powerfull, more feel, crisp for less than a third of the price!

There's gotta be a 12-step program for you, somewhere.

How about comparing XP70 with C7. Any ideas?

So usually I pick xp60 whenI'm feeling strong and xp70 when I'm weaker.
For some reason I like the feeling and touch much more from the XP70, even tho it should be the other way around. But yeah, I think thats how it feels when you have found your true soulmate.

I literally just bought the MX60 30 minutes ago. I'm contacting Eric about the XP70 now, sigh. I better get a lot of stringing done this summer and next year at university to keep up with all these purchases -_-.

Before I kick myself for choosing the wrong specs, I should ask: if I would prefer something less stiff than VT80PG and every so slightly less stiff, which specification of weight and bp should I choose? Since I will most likely get it strung with NBG98 and RKEP G09 on it.

    Thanks!

^ Lol... so i got you looking here also.

I'd say the XP60 feels a tad less or almost same stiffness as my VT80.

XP70 for sure would be less stiff and would be a safe choice.

Bp wise, 300mm would be similar. Weight will depend on your preference. If you're playing plastic, heavier is better. Say, 87-88g.

Thank you kindly. I'll probably go for the 88g XP70 then with BP ~300. Quite excited with those specs actually. Should be fun comparing it with the MX60 when I get home from the airport >=D

You'll be happy to know I also bought ClearTune for iOS. Yeah that's right, I read that thread too lol. I've been keeping track of all my rackets, strings, and tensions. Time to add another parameter to my growing excel file =D

What's your reasoning for the heavier is better for plastic?

All RKEP rackets are selling @ US$119.95 + $30 shipping = $149.95, and you said this is less than 1 third of the price does it mean that you have to buy other racket in your country $450+ @ ??
Please correct me if I interpret this wrong, thanks.
