If you see your partner leaping towards the bird in front of you, do not bang your partner's hand and break your racquet in the process.

I thought these guys were pros??? They hadn't been partners for that long but I'm sure even most of us wouldn't do that when playing with a stranger, which is why I was so shocked  when I saw that.

Props to swijaya0101 for hosting the vid.

yeah. i had the same feeling. granted that they are unfamiliar with each other..

i noticed that for the remaining of the game, Halim looked rather nervous and in general not seem to be at his top form physically and mentally. they again have a near clash at the same exact formation and location later on in the game.

perhaps just not the best day for them.

are you talking about this play? I think the bird clearly belonged to the person in the back... Wijaya got a big whack in the head on that one too. I guess they're even now?

Happened in the all england 2000 MD final as well. Yoo YS smashed his racquet onto his partner's arms and broke the racquet. They had been playing together for a couple of years

Pros are pros but they are not perfect. Sometimes things happens. Maybe their reaction was too fast. Man.. i saw that slow motion when he broke the racket. I wondered what tension he had on his racket.

yeah i'm shocked too, espicially with the second picture. the first pic reminds me of an incident that happened here, but with amature players.
