looking for more toys, but unable to find a Ryoga Shiden locally in shops, and none of my friends had one for loan to try, so would appreciate any input on this before i make a "blind purchase"

I have a 3U NS9900 already, it works well in doubles, great repulsion etc, but am looking for a bit more "Bite" in terms of power transfer, slightly harder smashes yet with the same maneuverability.

would a 2U NS9900 be key to what i'm looking for?

How about the Gosen Ryoga Shiden that seems so tempting with its carbon handle, m40 extra stiff shaft, and smaller racquet face which can translate advantageously to an even tighter string bed?

experiences with the shiden or the 2U NS9900 will be greatly appreciated :)

does anyone have any opinions/comments on the gosen shiden in this direct comparison? i'm tempted by the extra aerodynamic on the shiden

I can give limited info between NS9900 and Shiden. Do not own either but have borrowed each for a couple games. Shiden was lovely. Tons of speed and control. But head-lighter than NS9900 and therefore powerful smash relies on very fast wrist. Quite similar to NS8000, but I think the Shiden was even nicer around the net. The NS9900 is no slouch in speed or touch either. Power maybe a little more accessible. In the right hands (quick and strong) its smash is scary fast! So pick whichever you like and you'll adjust. But if you are singles guy, then 9900 might be safer. Hope you get even better advice from others soon.

Anyone know how Gosen's Tenbu compares to NS9900? I thought those two would make more sense in terms of comparison and Shiden is more similar to AT900T. Please advise. Tx

    dat is not so correct

Shiden is more similar to NS9900 or NR800

    Issen is similar to AT900T...

tenbu is more headlight than the shiden yet with strong repulsion, i dont think yonex has a similar equivalent racquet to it

I would expect Issen is similar to AT900P since it is heavy headed.

nope. the repulsion is stronger than the AT900P which has a bit more hold. its more like AT900T instead. i played an AT900T for 3 yrs.
