I'll be interested to see how Robertson performs, having not played professionally for around 12 months. This isn't a particularly strong XD field from what I've seen.

Thanks, i wasn't aware of that. You'd think he would mention badminton on his twitter, but he just talks about golf!

I don't understand the intention of this tournament. was It started with South East Asian teams only ? no choose and pick with Asia all stars, Europe all stars mixed with country teams. Why not open to Team tournament ?
Apart that the price money is good, the other just lack of vision and glamour.
Look like having tournament just the sake of having one.

It'll be better if they can get other asian players like Koreans and Japanese to participate, especially the former greats! Think it'll make the contest more interesting/action-packed and perhaps to a small extent glamorous

I think only 3 teams are the likely winner, Indonesia, Malaysia, Thailand.

Asian and European all stars lack depth while the other 3 are most likely unable to proceed to SF.

Not sure if im going to like this new format. Thought last year was close to perfect. I liked the idea of singapore buying in talent like boe and zweibler (although ultimately they didnt help much). Hope they have improved the quality of filming think it had something to do with the lighting. sad not to see some of the top stars like Taufik beacuse i think this was his best event last year was like Taufik of old.

Chinese TV host, Bao Chun Lai, also a former single player, got an invitation to play doubles at Axiata cup with Zheng Bo.

Bao CL is very interested in it, he said he has to lose 10 kilograms to play on the court, now he's back in the gym now.
