Sayaka Takahashi has emerged as the latest threat to the CHN WS, in addition to the few well-known ones.

LXR is like a runaway train, leaving Sonia far behind in 28 mins.

Yes, I read that. But we would not be sure if Lin Dan lost to Wang, is it because he is following orders or Wang really beat LD.

He might play a while then retire too.

FYI, Lin Dan has said the other day he will try his best to accumulate points and raise his ranking as quickly as possible so as to avoid having to play seeded or much higher ranked opponents in the early rounds. I'm afraid your 'concern' is irrelevant and speculative as usual, for nobody likes to lose esp when he's making a comeback and his ranking has fallen so low. Whatever for? Don't forget, besides their competition with the foreigners, there is also internal rivalry; for sure,Chen Long is Lin Dan's number one threat and rival now.

Not bad, not often do we see DuPY trailing behind considerably at the mid-game interval and then spurting all the way to the finishing line, as in G2 with Chan YK.

So I'd expect Wang Zhengming afterwards to push him hard if not beat him.
he will move up to 36 at most if he won this tournament, hardly worth it really. because he has only 3 t'ments counted toward his world ranking points and BAC is one of them, the max he can gain is 7000-4900=2100 pts.

Chen Long is not only a slow starter usually, he also seems to play different styles with different opponents or according to the match situation.

Yes, nobody likes to lose but following team order is a "must" in CBA.

If you don't follow team order, the consequences are worse than the feeling of losing.

Thanks for your calculation,my stats friend. As usual, I was relying on the Chinese articles and as is sometimes the case, the author didn't do his homework right (and I'm lazy to double-check the basis of his/her claims, only doing so when I think it warrants it).

Right, that's what I 'm implying, makes it less predictable for his opponents. Great minds think alike.

There you go again. If you think you know CBA inside out and insist that's the case most of the time, suit yourself if that makes you happy. Kindly excuse me, end of subject for me.
