Next progression from arc8dx
Starting to look for something a little head heavier, what do you guys think the next step would be from my arc8dx? I want similar weight and stiffness though.

How about putting a little lead tape on the frame of your 8DX?

I knew that, was just being facetious! :P
I've sworn by the 8DX for a long time and it's still my go to racquet. But just to give me a little contrast I got myself a Z-Slash and love it. Then for the first time in over 20yrs I bought a non-Yonex... Bravesword LYD to see what the fuss was all about.
The Z-Slash is a fantastic racquet, if a little lazy. It's flexible, fast and powerful.
The BSLYD is similar to the 8DX in some respects but not as forgiving though is a little faster. Power is about the same but the LYD is a little head heavier.

It just doesn't feel as eager compared to the likes of an 8DX and say NS9900 - probably due to it's long shaft that makes it feel a flexible, even though I'm sure the material it's made from is pretty stiff. But because of this and the speed of the racquet, power is readily available though.
I string all my racquets at 27-29lb btw.
