There a three new Kinesis rackets on the Carlton website. X90 and X80 stiff/head heavy. X70 medim flex and head heavy.
Is there any information about these?

Looks interesting with Carlton going with the longer racket. A stiff head heavy kinisis sounds a potent combination

Took me a while to see the difference between the X80 and X90 :p
I'd love to try them out; it's been a while since Carlton have made a really attractive racket (and I'm not talking paint jobs).

I liked the idea of the Kinisis due to the aerodynamic properties it claimed. It baffles me why no brand has made a head heavy, stiff and aerodynamic framed racket. The mx80 is close but if they took the aerodynamics a step further it would be quite possibly the best racket ever made.

I don't know anything about making rackets so I'm guessing its harder to do than how I think

Hoping carlton can pull it off with the KX80 and/or KX90 though.

If the head heavy, stiff version is still very fast, it could be a lethal weapon.

Carlton made one - Vapour Trail Elite. It is head heavy, very stiff and has the great VT aerodynamic frame. MX80 octablade frame is somewhere between the fast sword and repulsive box profile - there's not much they could do to take the aerodynamics a step further without losing on the intended box strengh. Note that MX80 is not a true head heavy. If it was, It would have been like VTE - huge power potential but difficult to access. Hope the new KX's are friendlier! :)

I forgot to mention about adding a bit more weight to the head of the mx80 as well. Pretty much want a mx90 ;-)

Is the vapour trail really that head heavy? Carlton's head heavy is definitely not as head-heavy as Yonex's after all. Still; it's good to see a stiff racket well under the 90g they've made their recent top-end stiffies.

I don't class the VTE as head heavy. Anyone got any ideas how long Carlton take to go from press release to rackets being available?

FYI - the Kinesis X90 will be extra stiff, X80 stiff and X70 medium.

How stiff is "extra stiff" in the eyes of carlton? I'm hoping your talking mx80 stiffness.

Hard to know just how stiff it'll be. My rasmussen is the stiffest racket I've ever come across. Easily stiffer than the MX80. The elite and razor 1.1 are probably just below the MX80.

i believe he used it 2012 as well. i was watching his games closely wondering how the heck he can get accurate shots off.

i bought one a few months ago and even tho it's quite flexible, the angle of my shots are way off when i switched from the vapour trail tour.

i have to agree, the matte finish is very sexy and not too common on badminton rackets. and the racket being almost all black brings back memories when i used to play with a yonex blacken.

He was using VT Elite. That (in the picture) must be X90, doesn't make sense switching to the original head light and flexi Kinesis.
