Hello Guys, during a tournament someone has stolen my spare MX80. Now I'm not sure to buy another MX80 or trying the MX JJS. What are the differences? I know that the MX JJS is less stiff but I had not the possibility to try one because it's not available in Germany. I play 80% doubles and 20% singles. I love the MX80 but I'm looking for an upgrade. Here are my questions: 1. Is the MX JJS headheavier? 2. Is the MX JJS overall heavier? 3. Is the flex close to the MX70? Smash power is important. My defense is good so I didn't need a 4U. Thanks for your help.
1 and 3 I know yes for sure. 2 depends on the individual copies you happen to get. If you're very sensitive and particular like me, you should bring along a scale when you choose your racket.
Hi Mark, Are you able to confirm which rackets from the Meteor range will be coming to the UK? I am shocked to hear the meteors will be in 4U because I was considering a 3U MX 80 or 90.
We're getting the 90 and 80N, as well as (I think) another batch of JJS. It got on my nerves that we're stuck with 4U as well, but there has been a definite shift toward lighter rackets lately. I'll be testing the samples in April, and who knows? They might be better...
Another batch of MX JJS in the UK? Really! I love this racket! I'm trying to buy another one for back up, but I was too late last month. This racket is very close to MX 80 in terms of performance and more of a doubles and mix racket. Also a little less stiff. MX 80 perfect for singles for me, enough power but superb accuracy, control and feel.
