Funky email notifications
I've noticed that since about a week ago, email notifications for threads to which I've subscribed come very late, up to a day after the post as been made. I often have the time to read the new posts before I even receive the email.
Kind of weird, because since this morning, I've got 6 new emails saying new posts were made in threads I've subscribed to, but when I clicked on the links, I had already read all the posts.

i think the email sending daemon in the server is a bit backed up. bear with it for now and it should clear the backlog soon.

there were some performance issues with the server for the past few days. that has been resolved and hopefully any tardiness in the part of the server will go away as it clears the backlogs.

I haven't gotten *any* email notifications yet for the past 3 days... I can imagine there are at least 100 waiting to inundate me when the server decides to do it.

Thanks to visor I un-subscribed to all threads and have avoided the email deluge.
A fresh start is a wonderful thing. :-)
@ kwun: not as wonderful as a time machine, though! Gosh I think we are all able to think of a few past conversations and decisions that we'd like to have another crack at with a time machine.

Sounds like a West Coast conspiracy - I haven't received ANY of my notifications! And here I'm thinking I should be given, uh, you know, priority....
