    Hi all,
I have some questions about buying my first racket. I'm deciding the Yonex Carbonex 8 FS SP Limited with BG-65,seems it had a good rating at the review page.
But should I use up to 20lbs tension???Is it too high for a beginner???

Also, can anyone suggest some racket and the string, tension combination???I'm just a budget buyer.......
I just want the racket to be light(especially not too heavy at the head),and a bit stiff........

    Thx all:)

Seems to be a good choice of racket. I've played with Carbonex 8 decades ago and once in a while I will use it in my social games. ;) Since you already decided to get that racket, the next step is to test the racket to see whether you still like it. As an example if possible, borrow from a shop or friend to play in a few games. Regarding the tension, my suggestion is to try around 18lbs first. Or if there is a test racket that you can use, you can ask the approximate tension of that racket and adjust from there. :)

    Cheers.

20 lb should be a safe choice. Consider BG65 losing tension fairly fast, u will end up with 18-19 lb after several weeks.

I don't have too much experience with this particular racket. If u have a chance to do a demo with it before spending $$$ will always be good.

20lbs is not that high for beginner. Btw i used to have a cab8 many many years ago. maybe not the latest version. Its a good racket for beginners. Anyway try to demo the racket before you buy. So far.. i haven't have any chance in having a demo of a racket that i wanted to get.
