a lot of people say that this is one of the best string ever. great repulsion and control, but i've never tried playing with it. i tried nbg98 and great feeling so i think that this string would be even better.
    what do you think? :)

Bg66 ultimax can break easily with a miss hit.
nbg98 has a longer durability compare to bg 66 ult.

However bg66 ult can produce better control and power

i think you should give it a try, and then post a review on a thread that's already been opened for this string.

I was a BG66UM user for a year. BG66UM is a great string. But IMO only when it's fresh. After 2 weeks it feels dull. IMO it lose its performance too quickly and the tension drops fast, too.

BG66M has softer feel and holds tension better. BG66U feels dead after a few sessions. But the first session with fresh string feels fanstastic, the crispness and repulsion.

so in terms of repulsion, both strings the same? looks like if we don't snap the strings that often, BG66M is a better choice?

Repulsion is about the same at 29lbs. i prefer BG66M as BG66U feels totally different after a few sessions. BG66M can last quite long as long as you don't mishit too much. :)

Does anyone still use BG 66? I never got used to BBG 66 Ultimax. String feels dead and weak. BG66 is awesome, on the other hand.

Not really. Try stringing BG66, use it for a few sessions, and then don't play for 2-3 weeks. When you use it, the feel factor is "gone" completely.

That does not happen, does it? Most players will play continuously after stringing. Feel of playing with fresh string is just thrilling. :D

I asked because i wonder if there are other players prefer bg66 over bg66 ultimax. It is a great string. Smashes and net play are awesome. Durability wise, it should be higher than bg66 ultimax due to thicker gauges.

Unfortunately, it does. My cousin strung BG66 for his Apacs Z-Slayer and played with if for a few weeks. Then he decided to get a Nanoray racket as backup with 66UM, and started to use it instead as he, in his own words, "was having fun with the racket"

Well, the string snapped last week, and therefore he had to use the Z-Slayer. He got a shock when he couldn't do the shots he normally does very easily - the original 26lbs tension of the string was "missing". When I tested it, I had to ask him back "you sure this is 26lbs? (it feels like 23-24lbs instead)", to which he said yes.
