I think bet365 (www.bet365.com) will be sending live stream from two courts (starting from qualification). Bad thing is that you need to have money on your account to see it.

Finnish broadcasting company YLE will show finals in 7.4.2013 17:40.

Also www.badmintoneurope.tv will be sending some kind of streams (like they did last year).

(Oh no: last years finalist Henri Hurskainen will not participate, injury?)

I don't know much about these guys... Carl Hjelm seems a bit sluggish in his footwork and misses a lot of easy shots. Rainer is the 2nd (?) best estonian MS player, he is playing pretty solid.

I'm looking forward to seeing Adam Khan in action. He's a local player I've watched a couple of times, and I believe he will at least pass the qualifiers here.

By the way, Kakibara streams both courts in case anyone was wondering. The sound is pretty terrible on both streams however, hope it'll get resolved eventually.

Lot of interesting things happening in Finnish Open in my opinion.

    - Is this the year when Ville Lång finds his form in Finnish Open? As we know, Ville has been struggling with this competition quite a lot. At least draw for Ville is quite good. First really hard match should be semifinal against Zavadsky

    - Really interesting point will be also to see how Finland's second best MS player Eetu Heino will perform. Eetu has been showing an impressive form during this season and in my opinion he is playing at the moment very important competitions if we look at his world ranking (85) and age (24). He seems to be in the gap where he could take a big step to top 50 which requires a lot of work but I'm quite optimistic about Eetu as he has been playing good badminton lately.

Eetu managed to beat Fleming Quach but he was struggling really much in the game. Too much unforced errors and whole game was really nervous. I'm looking forward to see how Eetu performs in the next match against Rasmussen who beat Eetu's little brother Iikka Heino earlier today.

    - Kalle Koljonen went and lost his last qualifying match against Kaljumäe. Unfortunate result but Kalle looked like he was looking for his game whole match. He didn't manage to find his game and result was a lost.

Kalle has still a massive potential and he is just 18 years old and performing usually really well. His best junior world ranking is 5th place. There is lot work to do with Kalle but he is usually incredible stable player for his age.

    - Situation with Kasper Lehikoinen, who was a super talent three-four years back, is interesting. Holding world ranking 1000 right now and his best world ranking has been 169. He is still only 20 (getting 21) but his progress as a player has become slower.

Edit: Well, Lehikoinen lost his first round match. Really close match 21-23, 21-10, 21-18. :(

Yeah Eetu Heino looked extremely nervous during the first match. Don't think he'll get any far if he doesn't calm down...

I'm a bit sad Ulldahl always gets the toughest draws. He has so much potential but he still threw away the first set stupidly against Ville, when he shouldn't really be much worse than him. Best swede out in the morning on the first day :( .

Mattias Wigardt still remains but he has to pull something amazing to have a chance against Brice. Not very likely.

Airi Mikkelä's win against Perrine Le Buhanic was nice one. Airi managed to keep Perrine in continuous movement which was too much for tall Perrine. I didn't see Airi's second match.

Two Finnish lads through in the third round in men singles, that's very nice news! Ville seems to perform quite stable this year and had managed to go third round with playing only four sets. Saves energy for tomorrow definitely which is crucial for him.

Eetu is going to face Ouseph and there is of course no question about the favourite. I hope that Eetu can give a good battle to Rajiv because he has nice fighting spirit and we've seen that Eetu can take his form to the next level when the opponent is really good. Could we see three sets tomorrow against Ouseph?

It's pity that Henri Hurskainen is injured and couldn't participate this year. He was playing some fantastic badminton last year in FO and he is an entertaining player!

yeah great performance by Eetu ! globally speaking a lot of MS seeded entries struggled today, but the hierarchy is finally respected. Bad loss for Smith/Ellis in XD this morning...
the MD seems to be quite opened, apart from Arends/Maas I see some talented Malaysian young pairs.
in WS Stefani Stoeva is out, she might be quite tired from last week's run, and in WD Petya and Imogen seem to be unbeatable..

I am a bit disappointed with Kalle Koljonen and his attitude, I know he's still a kid, but this isn't the first time I've watched him play (saw him at German Open) and he just can't hide his emotions at all. It's almost as if he tries to copy Ville Lång but just when Kalle does it, it just isn't funny or entertaining. Ville has earned the respect, Kalle hasn't yet.
