Your original post lists these results:

    ZM62, 23x24 lbs, 1135 Hz, 2 weeks
    ZM62, 22x23 lbs, 1105 Hz, 3 weeks
    ZM62, 22x23 lbs, 1100 Hz, 3 weeks
    ZM62, 22x23 lbs, 1085 Hz, 6 weeks
    ZM65, 20x21 lbs, 1020 Hz, 2 weeks
    ZM65, 19x20 lbs, 1000 Hz, 6 weeks
So, 100 Hz lost in 3 weeks??!!!

Kwun's chart and results suggests approx 26lbs as well, and that's with ZM62 being used.

Were they measured on the same make and string pattern of racquet? Just seems too high. I would expect somewhere around 1140 - 1170 freshly strung looking at others' results.

Of those rackets with zm62 @22x23 lbs in my op, they were strung by stringer A. Iirc at 0h they were around 1180 Hz.

The *stabilized* stringbed frequencies I get do match perfectly with kwun's graph on page 1 for a single string of zm62. Note stabilized after a few days, not immediately off the machine.

So I'd expect Mark's 31 lbs to stabilize around 1300.

Your power hybrid frequencies are pretty much what I also get.
I strung my MXJJS and SW35 at 30 lbs and theyre staying at 1200 after about 3 sessions

    Well...

    0 1366

    48 BROKE

Yep - it broke before I even got the chance to play with it. I suspect two things:

    1. It was Z62 Mk1 - I was after Mk2,
    2. There was a nick in the string - it's happened before, especially with Ashaway.

I don't know how or why it lasted two days, though.

Lol... I think 31lbs has totally exceeded ZM62's elastic limit.

Hmm it seems as if powerhybrid has good tension retention up until you play with it. Dropped all the way down to 1170 hz.

But then again, when I string ZM70 in the low 30's, I really don't see the tension retention everyone talks about as it seems to drop a lot. I guess it's something you have to live with when you string it over 28 lbs?

Makes me want to try thinner strings at lower tensions

    1145 8h play
    1135 10h play

The percentage of tension loss seems to be the constant, so those of us who use 30+ are going to feel 3+ lb more than the low 20's crew feels 2 lb...

I really think rougher strings suffer from this sudden drop in play more than smooth ones do, though, and the Mk1 Z70 was pretty rough.

    Another one for the pot:

    NS30 (white) 30x32, Rev.

hrs pitch (Hz) total % loss
    0 1320
    1 1308 0.91
    3 1294 1.97
    6 1283 2.80
    12 1273 3.56
    24 1262 4.39
    48 1246 5.61
    72 N/A N/A
    1st session 1232 6.67
    2nd session 1206 8.64

8.6% loss after two sessions... not brilliant.

This thread just makes me realize I'm going to stick to performance strings because most of the time I end up cutting the stringbed before it breaks anyways.

VS850 might not be that bad afterall

    Another data point for you:

    Apacs Lurid Power (0.65) on NS8000 @ 26.5 x 28.5 Fresh = 1360Hz

After playing 5 singles games 3 hours later = 1330Hz

Quite impressed with that string so far....

    Nah White.

Got 2 packs free with 2 Apacs bats I bought. (now sold)

String seems like a nice performer tho... Nice to string too, very slightly rough (but very much a smooth string, just not like NBG smooth), like BG-66, doesn't kink very easily, doesn't go limp while trying to push through shared holes like Zymax does.
