Guys need some recommendations on Victor rackets for a intermediate player. My background information as below. Male, 33 yrs old. Current rackets: MX80, VT80 and N90II. All 3U. Looking for a even balance, fast racket like the BSLYD first gen. Can't cope with MX80 once I reach the 4th hour of each session.
was thinking if there is any suitable ones. Tempted to get the TK8000 as a friend is going to Taiwan where it is cheaper.
I can guaruntee you that this racket certainly isn't as fast and it certainly isn't even balanced in feel if you like the LYD.
Point noted. Why i mention BSLYD is becasued I like the feel when I was testing my friend racket in the past. BS10 is too headlight while BS11 is not stiff enought. Spira 22 was nice but need concentration to use it effectively. Not helpful when approching my physical limits. Anyone has experiance using BS12 and MX80?
Yup. Play 99.5 percent doubles. I'm cool with MX80, not a problem as i only play twice a week, three times max. Trying to select a racket that is easy to generate power and don't feel too flexy. All my rackets that I have been using is either stiff or extra stiff. Not oppose to using Ovals or old models.
for me, i switched from mx80 to mx70... that saved my shoulder also recently discovered rkep xp70 which is slightly more flexy than mx70... based on mx and bs series, generates easy whipping power... but need to wait for heavier frames to come out in the next 2 months
Noted. Thanks for the information. Guess I would have to try out the xp70. First time seeking advice on potential rackets that's why i'm missing information while creating the thread.
MX-London and MX-JJS are worth to try. I've been using MX-JJS for doubles these days and save my MX-London mainly for singles, both are great 3U rackets and provide similar feeling. MX-JJS is slightly faster and crispier while MX-London feels more solid and stable with better shock absorption. I have no issue with the weight since I got the Apacs W-200 from you
IMO BSLYD and BS10 are close. I was a bit disappointed when I tried the LYD. Maybe lowering your tension would have the effect of a bit less efforts to handle the MX80 for 4 hours. What's your current tension? I personally think that it's not the racket, mostly it's the player. You should visit the gym twice a week and increasing your stamina could be the key. Or the MX80 is too stiff for you. Have tried to use the VT80 for a whole session? Is there a difference?
might consider the MX-JJS. but I dig out my arc 10 or maybe even the carlton airblade superlite to try them out. but the W-200 should be pretty useful.
