I got my frame and had it strung back in July of 2012. I since then, I average about 2 hour sessions, 2 times a week. The racket doesn't feel the same as it did back in July, however it doesn't feel bad either. Are the any signs I should look out for that I need to change my strings? Details: Strings are BG80P strung at 23lbs.
If it doesn't feel right, it's time to change. You can also look closely at the intersections between crosses and mains at the sweet spot. Any minor cuttings would mean the string is weakened already.
Thanks. After close inspection, I start to noticed that the 'sweet spot' part of the string bed feels different from the rest. It's kind of rough, so I think that means it worn out. This is, of course, compared to the out edge of the strings which is still smooth. Would changing my strings make much of a difference at this point?
With my BG80, there's a sudden dead feeling. In the past I've played on with it but the strings go in the next session.
I would change it if it feels dull and dead, the tension dropped to much and I feel uncomfortable with it.
