When XS was well ahead in G3, he showed some impatience in wanting to finish the match quickly and made a few unforced errors, It also allowed LDK to regain his confidence to fight back and almost clawed himself back into the game. XS must learn to stay focused no matter the score. The experience gained will put XS in good stead.

Well, I think you missed a good match between China & Korea youngsters.
But since you are in US, are you following the other golfing 14 year old China youngster. He just made the half-way cut in his 1st Augusta Master Golf tournament (even though he was penalised 1 stroke for "slow play" in the 17th hole).

[QUOTE=Justin L;2069660]LDK is good, that's why XS has to bide his time to

Agree that LDK is a good player. He was down to play third singles in the TC last year but didn't see much action. He got the better of THW in a tight 3 setter in last year's University Games with the rubber ending with a score of 22 - 20. He emerged in the WJC of 2008 at the same time as WZM and Gurusaidutt.Yes the same Gurusaidutt who raised some hopes of an upset among his fans when he took one set off LCW. China will be sending one more youngster into the fray in the Malaysian SSG in the person of Huang Yuxiang, their junior champ of 2011 and a youth Olympian.

Friend, thanks for telling me all this and posting the link to the match. I suppose you're referring to the MAS GPG this month end which LCW is giving a miss? It's really good to see CBA sending out these youngsters to gain international exposure to see who among them can become one of their mainstays now that Bao CL and Chen Jin have retired and Lin Dan in 'semi-retirement'.

Both Riky/Richi and Jordan/Vita are competing for their first GP title. I think Jordan/Vita have a slight edge.

It is unfair to expect THW to go all the way here considering the magnitude of his win last week. But Xue Song certainly is superb, able to last all the way 2 weeks in a row!

I thought the professional badminton players train 6 days a week, and each day about 6-7 hours training. Thus, to play consecutive weeks tournament would not be too hard and exhausting to them. I think mentally, it shows XS is stronger and more focus on task at hand as compared to THW in NZ Open.
THW been playing about 6 tournaments, so opponents have more video of his playing style to analyse. Lets see how XS performs in the next few tournaments.

are you sure he is a youth Olympian? because some member here mentioned that china never attend the youth Olympic due to age test?

anyway, Japan sure developing a lot in Badminton. 2 singles players in final, not to mention that they are still youngsters, is not bad at all!
