I see Rijal and Debby has different sponsor thus they have different racquet, attire, shoes but the shirt and pants color are the same though...

Are there any other pairs that has different sponsor world-wide?

When you're caught defending backhand and get the shuttle on your forehand side, it's faster to turn the racket to the right without turning the face (as you usually would) and defend that way, hitting the shuttle with the 'backhand face' of the racket. Basically a backhand grip without the thumb on the grip.

I think we have a problem with the thread title. Those photos have to be from the 2013 All England.

I love the picture of Vita . Looks like a perfectly posed and lighted shot for a Flypower advertisement. Only question is, where do I get a pair of fancy shoes like she is wearing in that pic? ;-)

Endo/Hayakawa would be another example. They both use the typical Japanese Yonex clothes and Mizuno shoes, but Endo uses Yonex rackets while Hayakawa is apparently sponsored by Kumpoo (even though he never puts a logo on the racket).

Also, Tan/Blair - I'm curious, does anybody know what Blair's sponsorship situation is? He was wearing an Apacs shirt, but everything else was Yonex (without a stencil on the racket). Is the pairing sponsored by apacs, but Blair individually endorse by Yonex? Can't imagine he buys his equipment (as a pro, that'd be rather expensive as he probably goes through one racket a month at the least)...

Kim Sa Rang lose string on his racquet 3-4 times on one match against the Endo/Hayakawa today... As a men's doubles player I think they need more racquets than other any discipline. Anyways, thanks for your info... I thought all JPN players are sponsored by Yonex at first... hahaha like CHN players are sponsored by Li-Ning except CY/FHF... and all korean players are sponsored by Victor...

Korean sponsorship is simple. just Victor.

for China, Kason is a part of LiNing. so technically CY/FHF are also sponsored by LiNing

as for Japan, they are complicated. they have separate racket, shoes, and clothing sponsors. and all players are different depending on their contracts.

    there are some differences, i.e.:

INA sponsorship covers the racket, shoes, bag, apparels and miscellaneous item from 1 vendor.

Whilst in JPN sponsorship, it seems that the sponsorship is similar to F1 or MotoGP racer.
Since I note that a player may be sponsored by various vendors for his/her racket, shoes, bag and apparels.

For any international tournament, correct, it is that simple. Many domestic teams - pro, school, university, etc. - have non-Victor sponsors and the players use their racquets and/or attire for domestic tournaments.

that's universally true. domestic school teams are independent of the national team. we are usually referring to the national team in these discussions.

Blair is sponsored by Yonex as far as equipment goes. Free equipment. Not sure about Apacs connection

Perhaps some kind of individual deal, wearing the shirt in competition with TBS might get them a salary or bonus for reaching latter stages of a tournament...if Blair didn't get anything out of it, he probably wouldn't wear it, as I'm sure he could get an orange Yonex shirt to match Tan's ;)
