INA XD pairs in the World Championships 2013

INA can have 4 pairs eligible for the WC 2013 if they can finish in the top 8 WR by the end of the qualification period (after the Australia Open GPG). However, it will be almost impossible to dislodge the top 7 pairs, including Mateusiak/Zieba from their positions. So, it will be only realistic for INA to have 3 pairs.

Except for Tontowi Ahmad/Liliyana Natsir (WR2), there are only 3 other pairs that will realistically fight for the 2 remaining spots. These are the following pairs:
8. Mohd Rijal/Debby Susanto -- projected points is 52,460 (assuming they lost to Xu/Ma tomorrow). They also will compete in the Swiss Open GPG next week.

9. Fran Kurniawan/Shendy Puspa Irawati - projected points is 48,300 (assuming they also lost to Zhang/Zhao tomorrow). No Swiss Open for them

10. Markis Kido/Pia Zebadiah Bernadeth - projected points is 46,140 (up to today, but they have the easier draw of facing Sudket/Saralee tomorrow...whom they had beaten. If they do beat the Thai pair, their points will be 47,790!). If they can reach QF in the Swiss Open next week, they will replace Fran/Shendy to be no 9...but it will not be an easy task as they face Chris Adcock/Gabrielle White in R32.

Although INA has another pair:
11. Riky Widianto/Richi Puspita Dili - 42,930 (early exits in the last 3 tourneys have practically meant they will not qualify for the WC 2013!).

Debby/Rijal are almost assured of the second spot and Fran/Shendy will be involved in a tough tussle against Kido/Pia for the last spot. Kido/Pia have a slight advantage, especially if they can advance far next week.

It could well be decided in the last tourney for the qualification: Australia Open GPG and I believe all 3 pairs will be competing there to secure their spot.

Debby/Rijal and Markis/Pia have played above expectation by reaching the Semi in AE.
Debby/Rijal defeated Xu/Ma. Markis/Pia defeated more seeded opponents : Fischer/Pedersen, Sudket/Saralee.

INA can qualify 3 XD pairs in WC for sure.

it's very tight for the last spot for the INA XD team, really pending on the results of the remaining t'ments they are entered.

a QF place at the Aussie Open will ensure Pia/Kido to move up to the 8th place assuming the Polish pair not to win the title outright

XD, yes. Kido/Pia have move ahead of Fran/Shendy.
MD, before the swiss QF Setiawan/Ahsan is actually 500 points ahead of Kido/Alvent as Setiawan/Ahsan have only 7 t'ments for the points.

In fact, INA can pick any 3 out of the 5 MD and 6 XD pairs in the top 24.

Last time when Kidho/Hendra were profesional players, they chose not to go because WC does not have prize money.

PBSI will require the pelatnas players to go but the profesional players are up to them
