    MS : Chen Jin (CHN)
    WS : Saina Nehwal (IND)
MD : Naoki Kawamae/Shoji Sato (JPN)
WD : Tang Jinhua/Xia Huan (CHN)
XD : Tontowi Ahmad/Liliyana Natsir (INA)

The tournament will started today with qualifying round (12.00pm local time) and MS R/64 will be played on evening (06.00pm).

Only two defending champions once again taking part here, will Saina and Towi/Liliyana retain their title? WS is the most competitive one, some notable names beside Saina in the line-up are Juliane Schenk, Wang Shixian, Ratchanok Intanon, Sung Ji Hyun, Tai Tzu Ying, Jiang Yanjiao.

I think the MS is also quite competitive, that is quite open. A lot of players can pretend to get the title. My guess would be a Du - Jorgensen final.

My shout is Zhengming Wang. He looked pretty decent against LCW and think if he plays well he could do it this week.

I'm also hoping Wang Zhengming wins this tournament. He has really great talent, but just doesn't have the discipline and control that Chen Long has.

Wang Zengming, I'm not so sure with Wong Wing Ki and J O Jorgensen in his half of the draw?! It's true he had a creditable performance against LCW in the AE but so did Wong WK and Tanongsak. For a CHN player, I've to say he's an under-performer though, honestly, I'm hoping he proves me wrong this time.

As for DuPY, he has to face a rising Tanongsak in R2 and there are a few others whom I consider have fighting chances against him, namely, HKV, Hu Yun, Axelsen, Darren Liew, Latif and Ueda - I'm listing so many thanks to what Chou TC did to him in AE R1 last week.

The eventual winner might turn out to be JOJ who acquitted himself well against Chen Long in the AE SF.

I bet on Hong Wei / Chai Biao. In fact, the Mens doubles at Swiss open are very strong. Look at the entries:

    MD
    1
    Sung Hyun KO
    Yong Dae LEE
    2
    Ki Jung KIM
    Sa Rang KIM
    3
    Thien How HOON
    Wee Kiong TAN ~
    4
    Angga PRATAMA
    Ryan Agung SAPUTRA
    5
    Mohammad AHSAN
    Hendra SETIAWAN

even though, Hong Wei / Chai Biao still have the edge.

I think Setiawan/Ahsan is the favorite.
    Then LYD/Ko.
    Then Hongwei/Chaibiao.

Hayom escapes by the skin of his teeth... :D
It's amazing how the lines between the top 25-30 ranked players are getting blurred....

I found out that Sony always peaked after Olympics when others were celebrating or wound healing.

Sony peaked right after 2008 Olympics, grabbed some titles, then faded away. Then he peaked again after 2012 Olympics, grabbed some other titles. Now it's time for him to fade away again.
