So I'm looking at the Penta Premium Badminton clamps on W&D - for those that have used several brands, how do they rate?

Also has anybody used these: http://www.racquetdepot.co.uk/pros-p...bar-and-clamp/

"When the clamp falls back into the clamp base, the clamp base opens automatically, reducing stringing time. Alternatively, the quick release can be opened by applying pressure on the release button.

An additional significant improvement to the conventional systems is that the clamp base can be adjusted with a rotary screw - the adjustment with an Allen Key is no longer necessary."

    Sounds good...

    or these:

The adjustment with an Allen Key is now never required, however, slightly more force is needed to tighten the clamp base.

Those first ones you have linked up there doesn't work with badminton racquets.

The second ones look like Gamma knock off bases. You can just get GAMMA ones direct.

Referring to the clamp bases I guess.

Do you mean the Gamma 'Quick Action' bases? Part MQAC-10 ?

    @msitpro - yes i believe that's what @AZbadman is referring too.

This link below has some photos of the base on a different machine and the dimensions. Hope this helps:

I have to big up the Pro's Pro Universal clamp - five teeth, perfect spacing for badminton, and they can be had for twenty quid.

My only issue is with the handles - the early ones had a really nice, sudden "knee" to the locking action, but the more recent ones are more rounded (but easy to rectify with a belt grinder).

Based on general consensus from this thread when a stringer decides to upgrade their existing clamps that the following are recommended (it all depends on budget):
    1) Toyozouki Clamps: GM-02106 ($$$$)
    2) Gamma Badminton Clamps: MDCSC-13 or MDCSC-11) ($$)
    3) Pro's Pro Clamps: WA3342 and WA3343 ($)

    Correct me if i'm wrong.

I don't think the Pro's Pro clamps cost enough to deserve to be called an upgrade - indeed, many machines now come with them as standard.

    - locking and unlocking the clamp is sooo smooth.
    - 12mm diameter posts fit like a charm into my clamp bases
    - The Toyo clamp post length is about 1/2 - 3/4 " shorter than the gamma clamp posts.
-> is a non issue since i use chudek supports which have the racket suspended lower than the gamma badminton supports.

I'll post a pic later comparing the lengths of the toyo clamp posts to the gamma. *Length of the post may be a factor to your machine.

Just curious how you get the clamps, from what I read on the Google translated page they don't ship outside Japan?

Send them an email with your interest and request a quote (make sure you include your mailing address). Money talks =)

Most likely they will ask what model machine you have. Be honest that your are buying for a non-yonex/toyozouki machine. They will warn you that it may not fit. As a buyer you just have to accept that risk (hence all the discussion about post diameter and post length of the clamps)

Has anyone got a problem with the Pro's Pro clamps where it gets stuck on the string bed refusing to fall on gravity until you unlock your clamp base? The Pro's Pro clamps i have doesn't have the springy snappy return upon release (WA3342)

My PP dud clamps unlocks like the first 10 seconds of the video below. The tasty looking clamp from 00:14 onwards does snaps beautifully.
