Hello BC. I have posted this in another section but think it was the wrong one. I want to know what tension you use on your 4U MX80 if you have one? I currently use a .66 string at 30lbs and thinking about going higher. If you use a higher tension do you use a thicker string? If so what string do you use?

    Thanks

Impossible to answer. I had in the past a 4U Meteor X 80 but used it only at 26 lbs.
I personally think that a .66 string and 30 lbs is tight enough for a decent perfomance. To stay in warranty you can string "only" at 26 X 28 lbs.
We don't know your stringer, his experience, machine and technique. Thicker strings must be strung 2-3 lbs higher for the same feeling.
I think that stringing higher than the recommend tension is like russian roulette. Everything can went fine for years or your racket will burst into pieces.
Nobody can tell you if it works to go for 32lbs or 34 lbs or maybe 36 lbs on your MX80.
