Pictures, and diagrams showing where it hurts would help.
And you should have read the FAQs already, being aware that we can't accurately diagnose over the Internet.

This will not fix your issue though. I suffered a knee injury with significant pain between my shin bone and my kneecap oin my right knee for approximately 3 years. I played through the pain and believed it would go away. It got to the point where my strength and movement decreased and I began moving backwards with my game. Luckily no permenant damage was done.
Knee problems are often the cause of other weaker areas in your body. Your butt muscles, hamstrings, quads and calves all play a part and need to be balanced and strengthened. otherwise there is too much strain on your knee and ligaments and tendons are damaged and weakened.
You need to get to the gym or begin some sort of leg strength training program before you cause yourself some serious injury.

Many years ago, I'd a torn cartilage. The Medical school intern in a metropolitan hospital couldn't figure out what went wrong. He discharged me with 1 week of prescribed pain killer. When I was taking it, I felt things were much better; I could walk normally and all that. By the time I finished all the medication, the pain returned. Eventually, I had to go to a specialist to confirm and had it fixed properly.
Strengthening muscles around your joint may help. You should give it a try. If it doesn't, perhaps it's time to pay some money and visit a doctor.

Nice to hear that you're back in action. However, how gladly it will be for you, you must realize that knee injury is one of the two (other will be ankle injury) most common injury in badminton.
Regardless whether you're taking any medication now, its wisely to install preventive habits before, while and after playing to prevent future injury as your top priority. This obviously will includes proper warming and cooling down, do exercise to improve your legs proprioception, ensure you're always fully hydrated and enough rest.
Major Knee injuries such as ACL, PCL, Meniscus damage are few example of injury that if happen will indeed affect much of your badminton life.
