Hi All. I am confused about my mixed feelings atm about stringing lbs.

Lately, I have been fiddling about with my use of badminton strings on all my different racquets.
I will call myself a intermediate player mainly attacking.

Stringings I have tried; ( I have a pair of each racquets to directly compare the feelings except the At700.

    N55 - 26lbs BG 66UM
    N55 - 26lbs BG 65
    N90 - 26lbs BG 80p (latest acquisition)
    At700 - 28lbs bg 65
    N90 - 26lbs BG 80p (latest acquisition)
    N90II - 26lbs BG 66UM
    MX80 - 28lbs BG 65
    MX80 - 26lbs BG 66UM

I know my initial mistake was to not use a specifc string for all comparisons; ie BG65.
ATM, I am primarily using my n55/ At700 and N90. the issue is that I find At700 @ 28lbs w/ BG65 absolutely fine ( easy for me to control and do tight net plays) , 26lbs will be just too flimsy and not the feel I wanted.
    the N55 however was excellent with 26lbs of BG66UM, but a sufferfest w/ 28lbs @ BG65.
I have played the MX80 with 28lbs w/ BG65 with no issues, however 26lbs w/ BG66UM is too soft imo.
My concern now is the swap between At700 and N90. The N90 @ 26lbs w/ BG80p is too soft, there is a feel of a "HOLD" sensation when smashing compared to the At700 w/ BG65.
What tension would be ideal to replicate the At700 feeling on the N90 ? Isit purely because of the string tension ? Should I increase BG80p tension ? Or resort to using the BG65?
BG65 is a Soft feel whereas the BG80p is a Medium feel. Is there that much of a feel difference ?
When comparing a 0.68 string to the 0.70 string, should I increase the tension by 2-4lbs ?
The reason for the change of string is find a better "smash effect" for points (if you get what i mean.. ie; smashing to get points)
I know the thinner the string, the better the repulsiveness, but some strings are so easily breakable @ high tensions. Does higher repulsiveness increases the "smash effect" for point scoring?
Any advise from BC'ers expert input will be greatly appreciated as I want to stockpile/stick to a specific string.
Thanks again, hope I am able to clearly express my issue here.

Probably 26 lbs would be a good start.

Why put BG80P in the N90 in the first place when it is in the same mold as AT700? And having two done with it at the same time :D?

I was interested in trying a .68 string. Having played with BG66UM, its a really awesome string, but its too thin and fragile. The stringer didnt want me to go 28lbs w/ BG66UM. I opted to try a new string, a 0.68mm. My thinking was that since the at700 played so nicely with 28lbs of BG65, technically a thinner string would offer more repulsion but I ended up having this result instead ! Which is why I'm at a loss :( I agree it wasnt the wisest of moves to string both N90s with a new string, but I just cant get to figure around how 0.68mm 26lbs BG80p is creating a "hold" sesation on the N90 but 0.65mm 26lbs BG66UM on the N55 is as solid as a brick and trampolines the shuttle so sharply * which I like *.

    TL;DR - I get around 1.5x more returns from the N90 BG80p @ 26lbs than compared to N55 BG66UM @ 26lbs or AT700 BG65 @ 28lbs.

    HELP :p

    Yes, please let us know!

It's definitely tough deciding on a good personal string. I'm in that phase as well. I've had some success with BG80 and Zymax 62, even though I like both I have to experiment with the tensions again.

Just a note regarding something I noticed, if BG80 feels too 'hard' at first, it could be due to its inherent 'hard feeling' or the tension is too high. I would try stringing BG80 and ZM62 at the same tension to see which one is harder feeling then adjust from there and reduce tension as necessary.
