2013 Yukon Championships

The tournament starts on Friday evening at 6 pm with Mixed Doubles. No match will be called on court after 10pm. Singles will be played on Saturday and Doubles on Sunday. Age groups are under 14, 16, 19 & 19+ (Open). Younger players start earlier and finish earlier … older players start later and finish later. For more information click on the READ MORE icon below.

Category and Schedule as follows:
Friday: Mixed Doubles (play right through to medal matches)
Under 16 & Under 19 will start at 6pm
Open (19 years and over) will start at 8pm
No match will be called on court after 10pm

Saturday: Singles (play right through to medal matches)
Under 14 will start at 9am
Under 16 & Under 19 will start at 11am
Open (19 years and over) will start at 3pm
No match will be called on court after 10pm

Sunday: Doubles (play right through to medal matches)
Under 14 & Under 16 will start at 9am
Under 19 and Open (19 years and over) will start at 11am

Entry to open mid-March 2013

Registration fee: is $30.00 (includes t-shirt and Daily Draws).

Draws:
Posted at the venue, on wall closest to stage. Results may be posted on the tournament software website.

Instructions:

All players are required to wear proper court attire (non-marking shoes). No music devices or hats are allowed on court. SAFETY EYEWEAR IS STRONGLY RECOMMENDED.

10 min. default rule will be in effect during the entire tournament.

Matches are best of 3 to 21 points, using the rally scoring system.

Shuttles will be nylon (Yonex Mavis 300) for all categories.

There will be random draw prizes as well as medals for winners.

There will be NO concession on site and no meal breaks so bring your own food.

The Open category is expected to be a flexible and fun event for the most part and we are encouraging B level adults to participate – we will try to mix and match players according to ability in the Open.
