Hi, i recently got in to a tournament playing a different position then normal. I regularly play doubles but now in the tournament i am supposed to play mixed doubles. Do you have any tips to play better at mixed doubles?

Hi. Hope my reply is not too late. Train hard. You'll need to cover 75% of the court when in play and the speed to move around court. It'll really help if your partner is an experience mix doubles or ladies doubles player. Have a game plan, discuss and practice, practice, practice.

You'll need the speed and power to constantly put your opponent on the defense. You need not have to smash at every shot. A good fast steep shot at times is more effective. Variety of shots is your key.

    Good Luck.

assuming you're the male player, your job is to put it down, whether hard or soft shots... also because xd is usually front/back positioning, the places you should attack are the side tramlines just past the service line... needless to say also, attack and push the female opponent to the back as much as possible as she's usually the weaker one
