SIN girls were so close especially in the 1st game. FMT has a very powerful smash but her defence was weak and her service needs improvement. Well done SIN girls.

VA has the height and reach but HKV's retrieving ability is remarkable and able to frustrate VA time and again. What's more, HKV knows VA's game quite well.

It was this kind of retrieving ability which frustrated many top players like WZM who lost badly to him (French or German open finals 2 years ago) , LCW ( AE QF 2012) and also Lin Dan ( Danish Open ?).

A disastrous start for Yao/Sari who couldn't get their game going, and they are supposed to be the stronger of the two SG pairs.

Yao/Sari had better improved on their service and receiving. And Sari today is in bad form.

Sari is so error-prone , the SG pair is below par today; they can do better than that.

In contrast, the Danish girls are so motivated and positive.

Yao/Sari snatched from the jaws of 'death' and live to fight on.

The commentator said Tian is looking a little bit tired.

Seems to me THW is conserving his energy for tomorrow, so relaxed, cool and calm.

I don't think he's ever taken a match from LCW or LD.

Kirsty Gilmour still needs more maturity in her game...easy mistakes and bad placings...but hopeful

You are right, Vittinghus lost. The way i read that post you referring to, LCW had to work very hard to get away with a win. Vitinghus was also very close in his last match against Lin Dan, so tbgoh could have a point.

And his opponent tomorrow, Tian Hou Wei, already won against LCW this year. So, both can play, the final match should be fun

one more step for tian hou wei! but it will be a tough match.
denmark might be the biggest winner here.
