Indonesia Fears Shuttlecock Shortage Due to China Bird Flu http://www.thejakartaglobe.com/badm...tlecock-shortage-due-to-china-bird-flu/584635
Wow. These small things have such an affect. It won't take China long to grow more gease and ducks but will suppliers and distributors put the price back down?
This is bs as one of the first process in shuttle production is to bleach the raw feathers. Bleach is very effective in killing bacteria and viruses.
any of you planning to hoard and stock up shuttlecocks? http://home.ttymq.com/space-2-do-poll-pid-17096.html
Most of the shuttlecock brands have announced price increase on next batch and shipment delayed for ordered items. Probably is good to stock up some before the price is crazy....
From that link, it says "Jiangsu and Zhejiang and Anhui area happens to be the H7N9-infected areas". Does anyone know which shuttlecock brands will be affected?
Do not be too happy as yet. According to one badminton shop, there should be a steep price hike even in KL
Even honly tradings's boss also mention the same thing. Let's hope that the cost of shuttlecock would not increase that steep,or else it will affect both consumer and shop owners.
