I'm aiming to get a Zymax Z65 @ 24lbs as recommended in the Zymax thread but our reseller here in the Philippines ran out of stock. Now, Yonex strings are widespread here. What Yonex string do you recommend I get for my Panda Power PPro? And what tension should I string it? Thanks.

The obvious choice would be Bg66U, we cant decide what tension you should use. Go and try different tensions and see what you like the most, for instance I like to use 30lbs while many other here use between 20-34lbs..

it depends on what type of string you prefer, and what tension is appropriate for you. what is good for me isn't going to be good for you.

I believe the general rule is that thicker strings strung at a higher tension have the same feel as thinner strings at a lower tension . I think both the A65 strings and BG66U are same thickness; 0.65mm, so they theoretically should feel approximately the same at the same tension, the only way check this is string up your racket.

Just order some zm65 online from RKEP ebay or mybadmintonstore.com..... bg66um is close but less durable and will feel dull after a few weeks

bg 66 is the best but will damage your pocket, ng98 last a bit longer with little tension lost.

if you don't break strings easily and your reseller has zm62, then that at 23 lbs is what I have my P Pro at ;) ..... after trying zm62, you'll never go back to yonex strings :p

Oh ok. Is BG66, BG66U, and BG66UM (as discussed in this thread) one and the same?

Unfortunately, my reseller has no stock of any zymax strings :( So I'm forced to go to using yonex string, or are there better brands than yonex that are more common? I'm an average player but still has a lot of mishits so I guess that contributes a lot to string breakage.

BG66 is the "elder brother" (0.66mm thickness),
BG66U & BG66UM is the same as stated by other members. (BG66 Ultimax - 0.65mm thickness)
