So I have a Progression 602FC and it comes with the standard fixed clamp( wide teeth). At the moment I don't have any problems in stringing but I do have to squeeze it through strings when doing the crosses. Would getting the badminton fixed clamps be better for my string jobs?

the stringing process will be better as you don't need to spread the strings and then unspread it again. as for whether it will affect the stringjob itself. no.

a pair of fixed clamps are not cheap. i don't know if it is worth it.

A good pair of fly clamps should suffice for the crosses (MBS or the Yonex clamps...i'd go yonex)

You could buy the badminton fixed clamps from watdon, they are pretty cheap and pretty good for the price.
