maybe, just maybe she is the one female hope
i think of all her matches in the Axiata cup, this match is the most revealing about her strength and abilities when she battles intanon
i thought Tai was just off form or had a mental barrier when she faced Sonia.. (i think Tai is still the better player for now)

this is the match...start at 7:15 from her interview...

she gained a lot of confident for the consecutive victory.
but she still have a long way to go. match/tournament exposure is too limited.
by the time she have enough exposure, how far did ratchanok/tai/nozomi/mitani reach?we never know.

bam style:keep training keep training keep training keep training keep training keep training keep training keep training keep training keep training keep training keep training keep training
oh sorry we have limited budget but we think player get enough tournament and we can go london to shopping, win win situation:D

After her win over Tty, she was interviewed on Astro in English and she came across well. MAS need more of her type to grace the tv screens rather than the typical dour types

I think she is starting her law studies in the footsteps of her sister, Lydia. Lydia too was going places in the beginning..but as soon as her studies get more intense... Her badminton suffered... Lets hope Sonia does better. Badminton wise

That's why I don't feel hype up with her beating TTY and doind well in BAC. If she doesn't prioritize badminton, that's no way she can raise to the top. Badminton is a very demanding sport and when you were presented with 2 choice. You will tend to choose the easy way out, which is study.

Anyway, it's good that she did well now though. At least she has something to brag in coming years.

Speaking of law, Boonsak Ponsana is also studying law. :)

But given only 24hrs in a day, one can only do well in one field.

However, there are precedents in Malaysia for a person with a background in law to do well in badminton... administration... kind-of... ;)

There are players who were able to PLAY on more than one field and SUCCEED. It is difficult thing to do that's why only few can pull it off.
Anil Kumble - Cricketer - Holds Mechanical Engineering degree
Valentino Rossi - MotoGP Champion - A Medical Doctor

When it comes to Badminton, its quite difficult to emulate the above two considering the demands of this sport as other sports requires only few aspects of their game need to be sharper where as Badminton requires all aspects need to top notch.

Boonsak might not be the greatest but no lesser than the above two. He too was one of the best and still is. Not quite sure about Sonia though.
