Yeah.. I have heard sindhu saying about it. No probs. She overcomes it and won the match with all the delaying tactics failed in the end... You might have missed the All England quarterfinal match between Saina vs shixian where shixian used different kind of tactics to distract saina.. But Umpire did not say anything.. Just favoured shixian.. In the same way it happened here, but Sun Yu did not go too much. Here, She tried to change the shuttle often (just to delay in order to break the opponent's rhythm or due to her greater belief in shuttles than her performance?? )..

Nowadays, it became a habit to players that whenever they lose a point, they try to change the shuttle though it is in perfect shape. I don't know why they feel like changing shuttles. Strange..

Many players (men and women) from all over the world do this. Its not new, nor is it strange. Sometimes it's just a tactic to gain recovery time (and very often, both players will go for it because it suits them) and sometimes, it is because of the prevailing conditions within the arena. The conditions can also change from morning to afternoon on the same day.

Most players on the international circuit deal with it -and that includes dealing with the few players who use it more often as a tactic to disrupt the flow. It's all part of being a pro.

Really impressed by India's young male players. They are probably the best crop of male single players in the game right now, bar China. One thing for sure, they need more exposure and less pressure (by the media). It will be interesting to see how they mature and peak.

Malaysia had (or maybe still has) an equally talented batch of young players who did extremely well recent junior events (Arif, Iskandar, Loh Wei Sheng etc) but still no breakthrough. Their junior double players are more accomplished then anyone else. Promise is one thing but the ability to win big matches and titles consistently is another thing.

Chima virtually has no track record in junior badminton and yet they can breakthrough easily. More impressively still, they are able to win big matches and titles consistently. They need to share this formula with everyone to make things interesting.

Indeed, there're 5 home MS who advanced into last eight and 1 semifinal ticket has been secured through Jayaram v Pawar, they're really doing good here, looking forward to next tourneys.

For INA viewers, MNC Sports 2 (channel 102) will broadcast LIVE from quarterfinals onwards. Today's QF matches will be started on 04.30pm (WIB), TV court is court 1 : http://www.indovision.tv/index.php/mobile/schedule
