Hi all, i'm new with the stringing stuff so if i start asking noob questions please point me to the right direction... i'm wanting to buy a stringing machine... things i'm after are.. - constant pull - cheap on maintenance - reliable - 4-6 point mount but unsure what model and where to get from i thought about getting a crank one and upgrading the pull with a wise 2086 but thats too much and if the motor were to die (cost too much to replace) which is why i'm looking at drop weight, as i'm not looking for speed but quality and craftsmanship when it comes to stringing techniques... any suggestions?
The Premium Stringer 3600 is a very decent drop weight. Just change the shoulder supports made by Michal and add a pair of WA3342Dual Clamp 5-Prong
I guess most people ordered from http://www.watdon.co.uk/wd-strings/ I suggest you give them a call, they are very knowledgable and helpful. OBS! You might ask about a set of tools (with pliers, awl etc) since nothing was included when I ordered the machine. The superb shoulder supports can be ordered from Michal (http://www.badmintoncentral.com/forums/showthread.php/79215-Custom-Made-Stringing-Machine-Parts). I have managed with the originals but am about to upgrade my machine with these after favorable raves by other BC members. HTH / mats
i've been looking at the pro's pro challenger 1, would that be a good choice? http://www.racquetdepot.co.uk/pros-pro-challenger-i-stringing-machine/
You should check out this system 'All-metal true automatic true tension system' before placing your order for 'all-metal Linear Ball bearing string gripper' as on challenger 1. 'All-metal true automatic true tension system' save you big time, just need one pull.
This one has it. Eagnas Logic 90. Stringway machine or LaserFiber are the original one that use this system.
thanks for that, it appears to be abit out of my budget, challenger 1 is like $200 USD less than the logic 90 http://www.watdon.co.uk/wd-strings/acatalog/Drop_Weight_Stringing_Machines.html
