Seems like GOSEN is releasing another racquet in Japan, the Customedge Type S: Has anyone heard much about it? Seem's like a it's Medium Balance, Medium Stiff racquet.
To cut things short: It's a redesign of the GRAPOWER 88L which apparently was "loved by the Malaysian national team". The racket has renewed carbon material (which apparently can guarantee up to 25lbs), new grommets and new layout. Oval framed racket which never will become square formed (whatever that means). The customizable parts are shock absorbing "elacity dampers". These parts are set at 4 and 8 o'clock on the frame and have to be removed / attached before stringing the racket. There's some more info beside the pictures in the first post and accordingly to that information, the material is supposed to be 20% stronger than before (compared to other Gosen rackets). On the head of the frame, they've put grommets which supposedly are to make the sweet spot bigger after stringing. Recommended for speed players as it gives instant repulsive power from compact swings. Medium flex (from -3 to +3 on Gosen's scale, this one is +1). Without damper - Weight: 86-90,9g (3U), balance: 285mm, hard feel, With damper - Weight: Plus 1g to the above, balance: 290mm, soft feel The recommended price in Japan is 14 700 yen, but is going for around 11 000.
