You have my sympathy for this occurrence....
How much saving is there left anyway after actually paying your (full) duties owed (VAT mostly, 20-25%). The only way to really save is when your racket slips past the customs inspection unnoticed or get's a severely marked down price listing on the customs slip ... This is what Victor Europe (or any European distributor) is up against: a customs service that is severely overwhelmed and physically unable to inspect and collect the legaly owed taxes. So every racket that goes uninspected immediately get's a 20% automatic discount compared to theirs ...
That said, their prices were already high. I can't even imagine a price increase here ...
And for all we know "Victor Europe" visits this board just the same and keep reading about these euro guys recommending this guy called "Eric" to get their Victor stuff from ( "hmm who should we report to Victor as selling in our market").

Of course I have benefited from this (customs) situation as well Name: 25.gif

I should add that I think these imports can hardly affect their revenue all that much since it is too much of a hassle for the majority of consumers. They should pay more attention to the local buyers and get their act together instead of harassing the bold. At worst the price difference can turn a potential buyer over to another brand when hearing about it? They have probably forgotten that the customer is king

Can anybody explain why this is ostensibly above the MX80 (when the MX80 has its specs maxed)?

Other than the fact that it's newer, of course.

MBS does - I just got a reel of VS850 from them - and I think e78 would ship to the Moon if you gave it as your address.

There are rumours of a repaint called the MX80N.

Personally, I think they'd be idiots if the killed the MX80.

Had my first hit of my MX90 yesterday, it feels amazing but new racket placebo might have something to do with this.

1st impressions I get more power out of it then my MX80 and it feels more manouverable/accurate.

I do love my MX80 so will try them again side by side tomorrow.

Is the grip size g5 same as yonex? Why it look so dirty? Get it tape with celophane, etc before applying your grip of choice.

yes, the grip size is the newer version, G5. those are the leftovers from the original grip. electrical tape has been applied over the wooden handle before being gripped by a RKEP G01 grip.

There's no doubt MX90 is a superb racket. I'll be writing my review this weekend. I would gladly play with it if asked to do so and I don't say that about many rackets.
