    Hi Guys,

I thought it might be a good idea to start a thread about the SOSA shop in Hsinchu, Taiwan.

I haven't bought from them yet, but SOSA is essentially what seems like the first shop to have any new Victor releases, as well as quite often having KRP coded rackets for sale. You can email them in English just fine, but bonus points for Chinese.

The downside so far is they only do TT or direct debit, which is more expensive for small transactions. Their details are below.

If anyone has bought from them before please post on here and let us know how things went.

    Address - 竹市光復路二段577號, Hsinchu, Taiwan 300
    Phone - +886 3 562 7777

They still haven't replied to my FB message or emails. Maybe I should learn Chinese!

I emailled them and got a response in 24hrs. If you do it in both English and Mandarin that might help (keep it simple and use google translate). Worked for me, anyway.

    Hey Maklike Tier,

Did you purchase your BS 12 KRP from SOSA? What's the approximate price and payment terms?

    Thanks,

My fault. Didn't read your full post before hitting reply. I'll wait for someone to address my questions.

I'd still like to know where you obtained your KRP Victor BS12 though...If you don't mind divulging your source.

I don't have one, but SOSA is selling some at the moment, along with some KRP MX80's, BS11's and BS09's. Go to their facebook page as mentioned in my first post.

I have. I called them and made an order. Made a direct deposit wire transfer to them. After it cleared they shipped to my friend in mainland China. I went to pick them up during vacation after.

It's all rather complicated. I called them after to try to order more but they said they prefer local sale only.

Did they post to Australia? Apparently they have the 3U JS10 - I'm tempted hehe.

    Also, how did you order?

Yes they do. It probably helped my case that I could communicate in Mandarin though.

I don't know. Just use google translate with basic sentences. You won't go wrong tbh.

Sadly not yet mate. If they officially did it would appear first on their FB page.

I've used them before for a few racquets. They are very good but they seem to prefer Emails written in Chinese rather than English - they were less responsive with English Emails.

When I bought from them last year they did not have paypal and could only accept bank transfer. This was expensive and given that you don't know the rate at transfer, you have to guess the amount it is equivalent to in TWD (assuming a poor rate) and then add a little bit more for their admin fees. Then bite your nails for a few weeks hoping that you don't get stung with import tax.

Luckily it was fine, the package arrived quite quickly, although it took them a little while to send out. I have to give them credit for how well they packaged the racquets. It came in a super strong box that I'd be happy to send some Ming dynasty vases in. They also threw in a free gift - a nice Victor towel.

I heard that they can now accept paypal, but it would be good if someone can confirm that. They are a very good and professional company, and I would be happy to use them again.

Paypal is fine with SOSA though 8% on top of your total purchase. The box that it ship will fit upto to 5 racquets. To HK is NT550 and to Canada is NT1500. JS10 KRP 3U and BS12N KRP comes to NT10200...
