Default Looking to get coached (university student)

I'm a university student in my early 20's and i'm looking for a coach but not too sure who or what will be good.
So I started playing badminton about a year ago and picked it up rather quickly and have reached a high intermediate level without any coaching.
In a local open I was the finalist for C flight men's doubles and I have no problem competing against the B players. It's against the A level players that I feel there is a huge gap. I would like to reach that level and become an 'advance' player.
I want to fine tune my game this summer and get proper coaching. I live in the burlington/oakville area and markham is a bit too far for me to travel just for badminton. Mississauga is probably ideal for me. Any advice or recommendations? If i should start off with group lessons or go right into private lessons and which coach is good. Anything would help cause I'm not too familiar with the club scene.

What university you go to? People at you local club that you play at could probably direct you to where they went for training around your area.

Alright. So at school, I suggest you join the Mac badminton club to play and get hits in. As for now, badminton birds or lee's missisauga are your best bets. Badminton birds is a club setting where there is coaching and Lee's is a lot more hardcore in their training.

Why not go out for the Mac varsity team? You'll get instruction there for free!

The school club here is not very competitive. Its more recreational. I will check out lees. I do want to eventually make the varsity team. I feel like my level is not high enough and that is why I want to get coached and improve over the summer

    Hi! John
My son also likes to find a coach, just wonder whether we can do Semi Private training (one coach with two trainers).

If you're willing to travel, Brantford's Mrs. Haymen is a very good coach. You're closer than the Toronto people to her so it might be worth your time to go check it out.
