Is the weight class that Yonex determine for its rackets determined when the racket is strung or unstrung?

How are you guys weighing your rackets? Just use any digital scale and put the racket upright to get the weight?

They measure with grip, without string. It doesnt make any difference if you measure the racket upright or laying down :)

Yeah, upright is more accurate. I just use a digital scale 200+/-0.01g from eBay shipped for $20 or so. Comes with 10g and 100g calibration wts. Very accurate.

Any recommended brands? I'm looking for a unit too. It's just that there are plenty of manufacturers on the trading website and i'm a bit skeptical for its reliability and precision.

Or should i just go with the "more expensive is much better" kind of thinking?
