personnally, i like the mp77 for singles and mp55 for doubles...

but seriously will, instead of focusing on a racquet, focus on skills... a racquet doesn't determine how good you are, and it won't make you play much better... but of course, if you already are quite good, then by all means, get a racquet..

If you can find an Iso 800 then it will serve you well.

    MP100

I'm a doubles player mostly and I used the MP100. JChen99 is right. It is really a good racquet for powerful play and control. I've used many different brand name racquets in my life and I prefer a stiff frame racquet. Mainly because I find the stiffness good for control and smashes too.
Although the Yonex MP100 is quite heavy, it is pretty good for doubles play provided you have good physical arm power. Otherwise, maybe stick with a lighter racquet for doubles. I would like to have a 2nd MP100 for backup but the price is too heavy for me ;-(( So my backup racquets are in this order: Rucarno RSX99 (very stiff frame and no longer in production) and then my Yonex Isometric 40 light.

    Re: MP100

well.. i'd just like to add that i only play mix... and recently have wondered into doubles:D
i like the racket... actually.. i got 2 but strings are at a different tension (higher tension is for tourneys cuz it provides more power) and i have come to accept that the racket is quite heavy, so i now started workouts on my right arm ( it's making me look like a freak cuz my right side of the body is "bigger" than my left @@). however, even though the racket is heavy, i find that the manuvering of the racket is quite easy, and clears are mostly effortless. that's y i luv this racket

For me i use 2 out of the 3 rackets there, those being the MP100 and MP77. I USED to have an MP55 TH that broke in a really wierd way but that racket isnt as good as the other 2 anyway.

I like both of the rackets but i would prefer the MP100 in the long run.

    WHY?
The MP100 has got great control, even me, a player that got to the level i'm at most through playing recreationally, i find that the MP100 is great for control, though i admit i'm not the most accurate of players, i find more accuracy in the shots played with the MP100. The power of this racket is also exceptional, although it may not feel that way, it definately packs a punch.

I wrote some reviews on the MP100 and MP77 recently. If anyone is interested, pls check the product review section.

    Will,
If you are not too hung up on Yonex, you might want to try out the Winex line of products. They have clones of the Yonex models but also have their own models.

I've played with them since last summer and has no complaints about their racquets.

BTW, I'm also their distribution for W. Canada.

I have tried winex rackets, but most of them are just copies.
Don't know the name of the racket but it was green black and gold, Aero something that was a good racket.

    Will,
You might be refering to the AD-110 which is a copy of the Yonex Aerotus 110. When I first queried Winex about the fact tha they copy Yonex, one of the reasons given was that the consumer demand was there as most folks compare their racquets to Yonex models as "How is this compared to Yonex xxxx?".

I orginally approached Winex about getting a backup racquet for my Yonex ISO 600 as I didn't want to pay for expansive racquet to sit as a backup and Winex was kind enough to send me several models for me to evaluate. :D

I spent the whole of last summer (playing about 2/3 times a week) in Toronto using the Winex racquets (strung around 23/24 lbs) and came away pretty impressed.

Yeah thats the one! It was very light but I could get a good smash going with that. It was like the Wilson Classic 85 hammer thats my favorite racket of all time. I wouldn't mind buying that racket but nobody seems to have it in Toronto.
