Just noticed that Adidas strings are now available at MBS http://www.mybadmintonstore.com/shop/index.php?cPath=25_29_52_184

Considering other brands' strings got their own thread, I figured Adidas deserves its own

I'll definitely be adding some of them in my next order on MBS

If anyone wants to share their experience with adidas strings, feel free to do it here!

    Power strings 0.68mm, durability: 9
    Balance strings 0.69mm, durability: 8

    Seems like a contradiction?

I think I've got some of the hybrid stuff coming in from Winston soon. I was impressed at 25, so let's see what 31 gives us...

Adidas has jumped in with both feet as far as strings go - good range already.

Update - turns out Winston is sending me five Adidas strings... time to dust off my reviewing racket, I think...

Anyone know which of the Adidas Power Tour 66 (0.67mm) and the Adidas adiPower Pro (0.66mm) has a rougher surface?

Weird how a 0.67mm string is called PT66 instead of PT67.

Indeed - you'd think you'd be able to hang your washing on Nanogy "99"...

They're all intriguing, to be fair. One's labelled "POWER....CONTROL" and another is labelled "CONTROL....POWER".

For the record, Adipower Pro has gone in first and will be tickled later today.

    Adipower Pro - min-review. Panda Revelation, 30x31.

Stringing - very pliant, easy to work with. Reminded me of BG66, but a bit more slippery.

Power - 8.5/10. Smashes have good sting, and clears and lifts require almost no effort. Hit the roof a couple of times, actually. Easy power, especially with sharp "tap" shots. Lost a bit of pace with off-centre shots, though.

Control - 8/10. "Closed-face" shots - pushes, serves, drops - always go close to the tape, especially smash blocks... I had more than a few of these die on the tape. However, sliced netters tended to "slide" a bit, losing distance if I was behind the front service line.

Feel - 9/10. Solid punch on power shots off the middle, and nice communication with softer shots.

Sound - 9.5/10. Glorious - loud, brief and metallic. Best sound since 68Ti.

Tension-holding - can't comment yet, but seemed OK.

    Good start, Adidas.

Seems like Adidas is bringing their 'A' Game to the badminton scene. Good to know they aren't just doing it for a quick buck.

I seriously doubt that the badminton angle's failure would hurt them financially, but I agree - they seem to have chosen good OEMs and are taking it very seriously.

    Adi Power 66 - update.

The lack of control near the net seems to have disappeared completely - this stuff might need breaking in the way the Nanogies do. Made sure to try plenty of net spinners tonight, and a great deal more went over this time.

    Tension holding is fairly good.

So Adidas is using their racket names for one of their strings?

I know - very odd. Wouldn't like a mix-up in the order - send for a racket and get string instead:confused:.

Any more reviews concerning the adipower pro? I'm curious to compare it with a BG 66 UM for example.
