    Anybody know what is going on with Yo's? I went to First Markham the other day and the store had paper covering the windows. Are they just renovating, moved or gone?

    Last time I heard Yo's business was doing not so good & owe a few months of rent, that's why he has to move to a different unit in the same plaza because every unit is own by different owner.

    Went there 3 times and no gal doing stringing. Perhaps the gal was in School. The guy there was day dreaming i think. He pays no attention to the customers. LOL.

    translation:

    fyi = for your information

    "the shaft" = (also known as "shafted") which according to dictionary.com is slang for harsh, unfair treatment. not quite harsh in the context i was using it. i moreso meant she has to do the majority of the work of stringing when she's there for no good reason except she doesn't own the place (and also she probably sees less money from the stringings as well).

    hope that clears things up a bit :)

    I thinks it's pretty obvious his name isn't "yo's", only new-age freaks have apostrophes in their names. :)

    Well, I guess it's not obvious enough... who's know? There could be a hippy new-age freak running and owning a badminton shop:D.

    That might not be a bad thing. Maybe I'd be able to barter my sisters old, cheap bike for a brand new Armortech 800. :D

    Well I can dream can't I?

    Whoever the guy is, he doesn't pay attention to you when you walk in but if you ask him a question, he knows a few things about the racquet he sells. If you're a short asian mom who speaks cantonese then he's friggin Albert Einstein of badminton and is very helpful.

    I am obviously NOT!! a short asian female mom.... and i don't speak cantonese so i usually just go in there ready to buy something with few questions.

    Price varies, sometimes he charges me $15 and sometimes less or more.
