Can't wait to watch the match, as i am always interested to follow the team event. Hehehe.

INA opt to rest Hendra/Ahsan and Tommy. Ahsan not yet fit maybe?

    Here's my prediction :

MD -> Angga/Ryan to win. If i am not mistaken, it is their first time for them to play in team event? But i'll give 60:40 to INA pair

WS -> Expected a tight macth between Linda and Sindhu. tough call. 50 :50

MS -> Hayom is mentally weak. Kashyap has better chance. 46 :55

WD -> I believe many INA fans are happy that Greysia/Nitya is reunite as pair again! INA should win this. 70:30

XD -> XD department as usual is INA's ace. 70:30.

INA might lost point from WS and MS.

    Good luck

They should have put the Canada match is the earlier time slot. Because it isn't, it'll be 3am for us on the west coast.

3 am for the west coast is a perfectly reasonable 7 am for the east coast.
There is nothing wrong with the tournament schedule; you simply live on the 'wrong-hand' coast of Canada. :p

Last week, Kompas newspaper reported that Ahsan is still not fit.

I think it is the best lineup. If the players are playing like in Axiata Cup, it will be difficult to beat India but I believe the preparation is already maximum so expecting INA to beat India quite comfortably.

India strength would be because they will play nothing-to-lose, less pressure as they are underdog.

Maybe they're trying to accomodate both the French and their colonies in Canada? :D

You should have made another trip here ..... the crowd is not great but the matches, even in Groups 2 and 3 are tight. Something that cannot be replicated in the Thomas/Uber Cups.

After the match between sindhu and wang yihan, in the post match interview,

“It was my first meeting against Yihan. I played well but in the second game, I made a few errors and she capitalised on that. She was more experienced,” said world No. 13 Sindhu.

“I guess, I am enjoying myself as there are no pressure on me. I train together with Saina under Gopichand and hopefully, by the end of this year, I can break into the top 10.

“I want to be like Saina and overtake her one day but I know, it will involve a lot of hard work. I am willing to go through the mill,” said Sindhu, who became her country’s first Asian Junior champion last year.

The 2011 world champion Yihan said she had under-estimated her young opponent and saw potential in Sindhu.

“She is a much younger player and one can see that difference between us on court. I did not expect her to return some of the impossible shots. She did make life difficult for me,” said the 25-year-old Yihan.

The lanky Wang Yihan, who spoke after her 19-21, 21-16, 21-14 victory, said: “She (Sindhu) is a tough opponent.

“I should have won the first game but threw it away. She is young and hungry and took me by surprise and I couldn’t cope."

From the SC Photos thread, its pretty apparent the INA team's priority is food, good food, and LOTS of good food!

Their team attire backs them up on this as well, with "Indofood" prominently (and proudly) displayed on thier shirts. :D
