The match of of level 2 & 3 is already started (08.30am local time).

    Order of Play (24th May) : http://www.tournamentsoftware.com/s...73BF77-2860-4DE4-A417-7DED98403934&d=20130524

    MAS time : http://www.worldtimeserver.com/current_time_in_MY.aspx

Well, tomorrow we'll watch 2 interesting semifinal clashes :

    SEMIFINAL 1 : KOR v THA (12.00pm)
Thai team surprised Japanese with 3-1yesterday, they march on to last four of Sudirman Cup for the first time. THA once again will face KOR after group stage encounter when they lost 0-5. It's tough task to overcome KOR as we know always strong in team event, but anything can happen ;)

    SEMIFINAL 2 : CHN v DEN (06.00pm)
After hard fight v INA yesterday, the formidable China will be tested by Denmark. DEN has quite similar with INA, they have strong XD & MD and chance to steal point. WS and WD are gone case for DEN against CHN. DEN lost 0-3 to CHN in 2011 Sudirman Cup final, let's see whether the result will be different or stay the same.

[OOT] May BCer please refresh again here the rule regarding the promotion & demotion between Level 1 and 2 of Sudirman Cup? :D

My guess is one or two teams at the bottom of level 1 will be demoted and supplanted by one or two teams at the top of level 2. The same thing for the level 2 & 3.

I don't think there are promotion or demotion. It is purely based on the "total Team points" (top MS, WS, MD, WD & XD) and grouped accordingly to L1, L2, L3 & L4.

    Sweden 3 - 2 Canada
Sweden took MS, WD and XD.
    Canada took MD and WS.

USA won all first 3 matches against Austria

Sri Lanka won 3-1 from Lithuania. That man again -Niluka won the first match (MD) with his brother, and about 30 minutes later was back on court to play -and win- the MS match, 21-12, 21-3!

The Swiss made it past New Zealand 3-2

Turkey won the first 3 matches from Kazakhstan.

Things are gonna hot up in the afternoon session....

okay, not quite sure about the exact rules governing this relegation and promotion, anyhow it's reported that "India, which lost 0-5 to China and 1-4 to Indonesia, has been relegated to level two of the competition."
    http://www.thejakartapost.com/news/2013/05/21/indonesia-beats-india-qualification.html

If not mistaken, Singapore squad is on relegation path from level 1 as well.

Fropm first glance, Selena Piek has already upstaged Imogen Bankier - for wearing a skirt ...... But Bankier is prettier.

never seen Merrilees Kieran play before, he has a different style of play compare to most of the MS player, the cross court, Lob and his footwork, is good but just not good enough to challenge any other good MS Players (but this is just my opinion)

Aussie XD pair almost lost another match this evening - luckily at 19-20, the Pihillipines serve was woeful and easily put away.

Nice to see Nina Vislova win her match today, Russian binoculars can't have enough of her.

Thomas Rouxel of France seemed to be more of an aggressive player than brice Leverdez. Fast mover on court - but not quite as much punch.

Old man Pang still too good for Merrilees. 1-1 between Scots and Dutch.

Vietnam sent a new player, Nguyen Thuy Linh to the slaughter against Marija Ulitina.

Don't need 'em - all that's important are the trusty Russian binoculars and Canon pocket zoom.

Now this is interesting, Scottish version of the jumpsmash queen against perfectly tanned Patty Stolzenbach.

My money is on the jump enabled Gilmour girl.

Vietnam just won the Level 3 title, beating Ukraine 3-1 by sacrificing women's singles, and instead using their top WS player to play doubles.

    No that was intentional ;).

I think abedeng is secretly using this with slides full of the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit edition :p
