Do we know who're the players? I have a feeling we won't even need WD. ;)

    lineup not published yet.

but we can always predict. :)

here are what i think will be the lineup.

Korea is easy. they only have so many players this year. so it will be:

    Lee Dong Keun
    Sung Ji Hyun
Lee Yong Dae / Ko Sung Hyun
Kim Ha Na / Jung Kyung Eun
Ko Sung Hyun / Kim Ha Na

as for China, based on performance, i think it will be:

    Chen Long
    Li Xuerui
Cai Yun / Fu Haifeng (though I'd love to see Liu/Qiu)
    Yu Yang / Wang Xiaoli
    Zhang Nan / Zhao Yunlei

In that case, yep... it'll be over before I wake up at 8am.;)

the question is where can KOR take some points.

    • MS? unlikely, given the way Boonsak tear LDK apart. CL should make minced meat out of him.
    • WS? potentially. it will be tough as LXR h2h against SJH is 3-0 (or maybe KOR will field Bae who beat her in AE? that's too much of a gamble and LXR form has improved significantly since then)
    • MD? quite likely. Cai/Fu is in pretty poor form and a point can be gained here.
    • WD? i don't think so. if the schedule is done right, we will unlikely see WD at all. but if so, Yu/Wang will demolish Kim/Jung
    • XD? maybe. but seeing how Zhang/Zhao tore Fischer/Pedersen apart yesterday, i don't know if Ko/Kim is capable of toppling them.

Cai/Fu have lost twice already. I think CHN may let Liu/Qiu play this time? Since the gap of WD, XD and MS are bigger than Grand Canyan, if Korea can get 2 points tomorrow, they should be happy.

What will be the order of play if KOR has players in 2 matches for MD, XD and WD?

It's too late and risky now to send Liu/Qiu given the pressure in the final. LYB should send L/Q to test in SF if he was considering them for the final.

Nope, I don't think CY/FHF would be fielded. There is no passion in them in yesterday's match against DEN.

I'd stay with FHF/CY. Matter of time before they hit their peak, and if they keep playing, it will happen sooner. Besides, CHN have enough strength in the other disciplines as well.

Ya, I just finished watching that game... CY/FHF are not at their top level of play... perhaps carrying some injuries?

But still, they can take on Lee/Ko, if they keep the attack on Ko, eventually they'll win.

I think China won't rely on MD. If I were LYB I will field the youngsters to get the experience. Moreover they have the chance to finish it if China get two points before them.

He...he...no contract here, every BCer can create new thread :D

Thanks kwun to start final thread :)

As we predicted CHN v KOR in finale, these two teams enter last stage routinely in team event.

2011 Sudirman Cup semifinal in Qingdao, CHN def. KOR 3-1. KOR stole 1 point through MD Chung Jae Sung/Lee Young Dae : http://www.tournamentsoftware.com/s...FFBCC45-46DE-4F0D-AD95-95759235BB87&match=164

2009 Sudirman Cup final in Guangzhou, CHN def. 3-0. CHN fought hard in XD and MD : http://www.tournamentsoftware.com/s...91DFE99-023B-4853-8AF6-39255247D465&match=186

2013 Sudirman Cup Final in Kuala Lumpur, KOR has significant chance to win MD discipline. Don't see CHN will lose point in XD & MS here. But yes KOR is really unpredictable in team event, it will be huge shock if KOR could tumble CHN like they did in Eindhoven 10 years ago -- http://www.dillesport.dk/sportspc/vm2003badmh/chn-kor.uk.php

well, no surprises on the Korean lineup.

but Chinese one is slightly unexpected!

firstly, they decided to field Liu/Qiu which is awesome. hats off to CBA for taking the risk. Cai/Fu has not been making any impression this SC so it is a good time to unleash the youngsters. more flare, more energy, and hopefully, more excitement and hopefully a closer match.

the real surprise is fielding Xu Chen and Ma Jin. while not bad performance everyone was more Oooh and Aaahh'ed by Zhang Nan and Zhao Yunlei last night. not sure what prompts CBA to field Xu/Ma instead, esp when the XD is the anchoring point for the whole team match here.

hopefully this won't turn out to be a major mistakes on the lineup. last time they did it, it cost them the Sudirman Cup in 2003, exactly 10 yrs ago.
