Badminton photo with digital camera compact system?

    I was wondering has anyone tried to take badminton photo with those compact system? How is it compares to DSLR camera? I am thinking about getting one to take some photo at local gym. Any comment, though, advise is appreciated. Thank in advance.

    I am looking into these Model:
    Nikon: J1, J2, J3
    Samsung: NX1000
    Sony: Nex 5, Nex 6, Nex7

    If it doesn't have good low light performance, then it won't work.

    You can test them out at the store. Use shutter priority, set shutter speed to 1/60 to 1/120 sec. And let the camera choose aperture and iso settings. Then take some test shots at full wide and full zoom. See if the pic quality is acceptable to you.
