I am thinking about getting a MX-80. However I read that Victor's official stringings are two knots, which is different from Yonex's four knots. Can the MX-80 still be strung with four? Is there any real difference between the two? Since I don't know how to string myself, I worry that most stringers will not know the unique two knot method.
It can be strung with 4 knots, but everyone will do it differently. There is no official "correct" way of doing it, but I think the best way of doing it is tying the mains at B10, which means there will be 3 strings in that hole. The MX patterns are very likely to not be done correctly if you have it strung by the amateurs at the sports shop instead of the real professionals at the pro shop. You could print the pattern for them and bring it with your racquet, but even the 2 knot pattern takes some skill to do correctly.
I have strung it with four knots. Your tie-offs will be a long way from the last strings, though... I think it's a pretty daft pattern, to be honest - needlessly complicated.
