Hi, I just want to ask some advice to you guys because this past weeks i'm suffering wrist pain. I think i got this just two weeks ago in our game. What is the best way to get rid of this pain? I play twice a week. Thanks a lot in advance guys for your help!
Let me guess....you're bending your wrist inward when playing right? So let's say the regular position of your forearm and palms are 180°/straight. For badminton, you will be bending it outward, so palm facing out like you are blocking a punch. But the movement for hitting is limited to out - > back to normal and not all the way in. In being palm now facing inward. You should only be using half the wrists motion and not the full motion. I'm sure there is a diagram that would explain this better.
Can u give us more details? Like did u dive to save a shuttle which might actually bumped yr wrist? Or how high yr string tension is? Yr racket balance?
What happened is I tried to lift up the shuttle coming from near the ground so I swing my wrist inward in full motion like sir elisha said. By the way I am a right hand player and my string tension is 26lbs.
After using yr wrist, there is always a follow up action to reduce the stress on yr wrist. Like if u do a clear with just yr wrist without bending yr arm afterwards, u can feel that forward momentum pressuring yr wrist, if u can get what i am saying ~.~" .
